What are the OTT platforms and how it can be regulated ?

OTT (Over the Top) Platforms are the new emerging business models, such as videos and apps, utilizing the internet which bypass the traditional infrastructure. It includes netflix, amazon prime, hotstar, etc
Recently,GOI includes those platforms in the ministry of information and broadcasting. But we don't know how the government exactly regulates OTT.
Why do we need of regulation ?

We know, print media is regulated by Press Council Of India. Tv news channels are regulated by News Broadcasting Association(NBA). But in case of online content it lacks regulation. On other hand several controversies are happening which leads to social and religious misbeliefs, promoting nudity and many more.
The Plan
As of now, government will give some code of conducts which are compulsory for the producers to observe and follow. They'll filter the content available on OTT platorms in such way as one can decide whether to watch or whether to recommend to their childrens.
